REMCLU: a package for the Reconstruction of ElectroMagnetic CLUsters at LEP200

Electrons and photons reconstruction and identification is an issue of great importance for many physics analyses at LEP2. The variety of topologies and energy ranges in which they can appear required an improvement of the previous LEP1 pattern recognition. The REMCLU package has been built in order to improve the previous tools for the barrel part of DELPHI, and to provide an efficient general purpose algorithm for the forward part of the detector.

The use of a reweighting technique of Montecarlo events can help in the reduction of the simulated statistics needed in 4 fermion physics studies at LEP200. A routine for the reweighting of events generated with the DELPHI customized version of the EXCALIBUR 4 fermion code is presented.
